DIAMONDS - Crown Bijoux uses only the finest hand-picked conflict-free diamonds. Every diamond is unique, and when selecting the perfect diamond for your fine jewelry, you will have the services of a GIA-certified gemologist to guide you through the process.

Faceted stones come in a myriad of different shapes. Below are some of the common shapes used in our pieces:

In addition to the shape, diamonds are graded following the principles of the 4 C's : Color, Clarity, Cut, and Carat weight. The report accompanying your stone will contain details on each of these dimensions, according to the GIA's exacting standards. When you contact us, Crown Bijoux will be happy to show you examples and guide you towards selecting the perfect stone for you!

COLORED STONES - We love to incorporate precious and semi-precious stones in our jewelry. They are selected for their innate beauty, their evocative value, and in order to create pleasing combinations of colors, shapes, and textures.

Our stones come mainly from Asia (India, Thailand) and Africa (RSA and Tanzania), with significant sources in South America (Brazil) and Australia as well. Just as with diamonds, we hand-pick only the finest and highest quality stones to use in your custom jewelry, by provenance as well as their physical characteristics.

Certain stones contain historical and cultural meaning. For example, the most widely used precious colored stones—rubies, sapphires, and emeralds—have been used from time immemorial to denote luxury and finery. Pearls and jade serve a similar purpose in east Asian cultures: jade symbolizes purity, longevity, and prosperity and has been used for nearly 5,000 years. In addition to the precious stones, Crown Bijoux also likes to use tanzanite, peridot, aquamarine, tourmaline, and amethyst.

PLATINUM AND GOLD - Crown Bijoux uses exclusively platinum (950) and gold (18k and 14k) for our settings. Platinum is durable and shiny, while gold is universal and versatile. When your piece contains a combination of stunning colors, we will use white gold, yellow gold, or our favorite, rose gold, in accordance with your desires and the characteristics of the stones.

While the amount of metal that goes into a ring or a necklace is not tremendous, the fluctuations in these commodity prices can lead to some variation in the cost of your custom jewelry.

GLOBAL DELIVERY - Crown Bijoux offers global delivery using our industry-leading,
timely, and insured shipping partner.

RING SIZING - Rings should be sized on warm hands, preferably at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. We highly recommend to size the ring in person, but you may compare the inside of an existing ring to the printable sizing guide here.

CARE - Your bespoke fine jewelry from Crown Bijoux is made of the highest quality materials. The stones and settings are hard, durable, and free of structural defects, in addition to being exceedingly rare.

However, even the hardest stone (diamond) is susceptible to chipping and can be damaged. Furthermore, diamonds can scratch other materials that are less hard (such as gold). Never use any chemicals or polishing agents on your fine jewelry. When necessary, we recommend light buffing using the microfiber cloth provided with your purchase. A couple of times a year, you may clean your item with a soft toothbrush under hot, light soapy water and dry with a non-lint cloth to restore its original brilliance.
